Windrock Park

Windrock Park in Anderson County, northwest Tennessee, near the community of Oliver Springs, is the largest privately owned OHV recreation area in the United States, a claim backed by its 73,000-acre land base and 300+ miles of signed riding trails. The acreage rivals many national forests, and the trail system has been built to match the scale: ratings run from beginner-accessible beginner routes on the lower benches to extreme expert terrain on the Cumberland Mountain ridgelines where a technical failure is a long walk out. The Cumberland Mountains setting gives Windrock a distinct character: the property occupies former coal lands on the Cumberland Plateau's western escarpment, and the riding integrates reclaimed mining bench roads, original mountain terrain, and the long views across the Tennessee Valley that emerge from the upper elevation sections. Vehicle access is genuinely inclusive: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, full-size Jeeps and trucks, and mountain bikes are all permitted, and the trail system has been designed to accommodate the range of vehicle widths that creates. A Land Use Permit is required per person regardless of age or activity; day passes start at $20/adult. The park operates a full-service campground with hookups, cabins, a General Store for fuel and supplies, a shooting range, a dedicated bike park, an RC park, and event venue infrastructure that supports the major events Windrock hosts throughout the season.
