  Been there MANY times through the years. Got every kind of trail that you could want. Easy trails to breaking your equipment trails. Muddy trails to rocky trails. One time we stayed there for a week and rode every day for about 5-6 hours each day and rode every trail there in the week’s time. There are campgrounds around the area. And air bnb’s too. A few restaurants.

  This was our second trip to Brimstone. The first trip was great. The staff was great and we're able to point us in the direction of some awesome views and wonderful riding. That trip was in 2021. This time around the staff was clueless. They were more worried about their phones than spending a few minutes talking to guest. We had issues with our buggy and called about a possible rental and again clueless. Thank God we got in contact with Ty from Ride Royal Blue. The cabin was in good shape. The only issues were the door knob didn't secure the door, had to use deadbolt, and the refrigerator was a total POS we had water bottles in the freezer for 3 days and wouldn't freeze. The drinks barely got above room temperature. Now to talk about the trails. The app was a starting point but don't trust it. Several trails were gated off as private. They had some good trails but you hit a dead-end, no fun trying to turn around a 4 seat maverick on some of these trails. The app doesn't show any highlight points, the office had a map but kinda hard to look at that map an use the app that doesn't always stay on track. Overall we had a good time but mostly accredited to Ride Royal Blue and pure dumb luck.

  We stayed at a Brimstone rental, RockyTop from 7.17.24 through 7.21.24. There were 4 of us, 2 couples. Check in for the cabin and ATV trails was easy. We drove up to the cabin, a 20 minute drive across the property (10 minutes if you use the main road). The cabin was just as pictured. It had been raining and promised to be a rainy time there so I was surprised that there were no door mats. The dishwasher was fully loaded when we arrived. No washer and dryer. Tons of stray dogs that came up to our cabin constantly. One evening, two of the male dogs got into a vicious fight. Did NOT appreciate that especially since we brought our small Maltese. The trails were sporadically marked, so it made navigating a challenge. Trash was everywhere on the side of trails. Many trails were in need of maintenance....blue trails that need to be mended or re-labeled red. Super disappointed that the mountaintop overlook is closed. Overall, the experience with friends was amazing. Not returning to RockyTop or Brimstone as the cost was too high for the adventure.

  Do not go here and rent from them!!! Whatever you do, do NOT damage the vehicles in anyway. One of our rzrs had an extremely light tip over and ended up on its side. On top of the mechanic running up the clock by chatting it up with a buddy of his while we had to pay him $100/hr to assist in getting the rzr upright. This took less than 2 minutes to do by the way. There was only cosmetic cracking on the rear fender and hood. The cost was over $2,400!!! The insurance policy is vague and we didn’t understand what we’d payed for with the $80 insurance. Basically anything over $1,500, they would cover. So at a maximum you are do for $1,500 worth of damages. We have to pay this $1,500 for purely cosmetic damages that are unprovable to the untrained eye and do not impair the vehicles performance in any capacity. The trails and experience was great and will be if you have your own machines. Again, DO NOT RENT THEIR MACHINES! Ps we were told to arrive at 8:30 and no one arrived til after 9.
