Ocala National Forest OHV

The Ocala National Forest OHV Trail System is the largest public OHV trail system in Florida, spreading nearly 200 miles across two primary network areas in what is one of the most ecologically distinctive forests in the eastern United States: the Ocala is the world's largest sand pine scrub forest, and its OHV network navigates the unique sandy terrain of the Big Scrub through a variety of forest types from xeric scrub uplands to hydric flatwoods and the clear-spring creek systems that define the forest's interior. The North system anchors around Fort McCoy and links six named trailheads across approximately 125 miles of marked trail. The 47-mile Centennial Loop to the south provides a longer, more sustained route option that gives riders a genuine point-to-point riding experience across the forest's interior. Vehicle class access is tiered: motorcycles and ATVs up to 50 inches wide operate throughout the designated trail network; UTVs up to 65 inches wide are permitted specifically on the Longleaf Trail; and registered Jeeps and SUVs are permitted on the Longleaf Trail only. An OHV permit is required for all riders: 3-day passes run $10, 7-day passes $25, and annual passes $75 per rider, all purchasable via Recreation.gov before arriving.
