The Good Evening Ranch

The Good Evening Ranch is a 400-acre private off-road park and event venue in Nicholas County, West Virginia, near Summersville, approximately 30 miles north of Beckley in the heart of the New River country. The property offers roughly 20 miles of riding across rolling hills, wooded terrain, scattered livestock ponds, and the varied topography of the Nicholas County plateau: not the extreme Appalachian grade of the coalfields systems to the south, but genuinely varied terrain with enough elevation change to keep riding interesting for intermediate riders. The trail system serves a wide vehicle mix (ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, rock crawlers, and rock bouncers are all permitted on appropriate routes), giving the Good Evening Ranch a different flavor from the strict ATV/UTV-only HMT systems. The park doubles as a competition venue: it hosts National Rock Racing Association sanctioned events that draw competitors from across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. On-site amenities include cabin rentals, full RV hookup sites, a restaurant and bar, and covered riding arenas for skill practice. Day passes run $25/ORV with driver and $15 per passenger; weekend passes (Friday through Sunday) are $50/ORV. Summersville, 15 minutes north, provides fuel, food, and lodging for multi-day trips. Gates close at 8pm. Open year-round.
