  Visited the park in the 1960-1970 as a kid, lived the Bald Eagle Valley, this park was as are playground as nd attended many family gatherings and church picnics at the park. Still a beautiful place 55 years later. Recently moved back after 25 years in Florida. The mountains are my heritage! American has the most beautiful mountains. Recommend visiting any time of year.

  I took a short day trip from State College. The ranger at the park office was incredibly helpful and suggested a few great spots where my pup could safely practice her swimming skills. After spending some time enjoying the lake, we headed out for a short, easy hike and took in the beautiful scenery. The park is well-maintained, peaceful, and offers something for both people and their four-legged companions.

  Rented a modern cabin for six nights, with the family. We had a great time. The park is quiet and very well up-kept. I brought my boat and made the 1/2 hour journey over to Bald Eagle to fish the big lake three times. Great fishing! Caught fish at Moshannon lake as well. Lots of critters at the park. Deer, owl, crows, chipmunks, toads and frogs, snakes, and turtles. Cabin was great, other than the beds, we called our bed "the rock" Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend.

  camped here for 5 days, campground is a decent size, but you couldn't tell, it is so quiet!! The amenities are great, well kept bathrooms while we were there. Small camp store with basic neccesities available, and food for purchase. Beautiful picnic area, and plenty of trails to hike.
