Iron Mountain Resort

Iron Mountain Resort is a 4,300-acre private off-road resort in Lumpkin County, Georgia, in the North Georgia mountains north of Atlanta, positioned in the same Blue Ridge foothills that contain Dahlonega and the Consolidated Gold Mine, approximately 75 miles from I-285. The property is organized around 150+ GPS-mapped one-way scenic routes that allow the mountain topography to be experienced at trail pace rather than road speed: the one-way designations keep the 4,300 acres from becoming congested even on busy weekends, and the GPS mapping allows riders to navigate the route system on a smartphone or GPS unit without relying solely on posted signs. Trail character spans mild to challenging terrain across hardwood-forested ridges and creek corridors, accessible enough for beginner-to-intermediate riders while still offering technical sections that reward capable machines and confident operators. ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and full-size 4x4 and Jeep vehicles are all permitted on appropriate routes. The on-site amenity package is full-service: camping, cabin rentals, RV sites, a restaurant, and a Can-Am and Yamaha side-by-side rental fleet for guests who arrive without machines. Day passes run $25 for ATVs and dirt bikes, $30 for side-by-sides and 4x4s, and $10 for passengers. Open 365 days per year (706-216-7275).
